Updates for June 2017

June: Easter Sunday is April 16, 2017, so in 2017 most Easter egg hunts will be held on Saturday April 8, 2017 and some on Saturday April 15, 2017. ALWAYS click the links to check date and time with the event's own website, as there are often last minute changes due to weather or logistical problems, just click on the link to the event's website and (in most cases), you want to click on the "events" link or "calendar" link on their website. Or use their site search for "Easter". Do let them know you found them here, so they will update us next year.  Since many egg hunts do not publish the current year's dates until the very last minute, we may not get their current information, which is why we have links to their websites, facebook pages and calendars. See their events calendar. There are also Easter breakfasts and brunches and Easter parades to watch!

And if you are looking for local children's consignment sales, also often held by churches, click here!

And the rush for eggs will be safer for all, as the egg-searchers will be divided by age group: 4-years old and under, 5 to 8 years old, 8 to 12 years old, and adaptive youngsters. The fun starts with an egg-less Pancake Breakfast @ 9 am, prepared by those masters of pancake breakfasts, the firefighters of the Alhambra Fire Department! And, for those who don’t like waiting in line for their pancakes and sausage, they can join the other line for a “Photo with the Bunny!” (bring your camera for a memorable “selfie”). Following breakfast and photos the youngsters will gather, in their appropriate age group, at the Almansor Park ball fields for the Egg Hunt which begins, with shrieks of excitement, at 10:30 a.m. Each plastic egg contains an assortment of candies and treats! It’s an exciting time for the youngsters, and even fun for the parents – so plan to attend to feast, hunt, and enjoy – see you there!
