Updates for August 2017

August: Easter Sunday is April 16, 2017, so in 2017 most Easter egg hunts will be held on Saturday April 8, 2017 and some on Saturday April 15, 2017. ALWAYS click the links to check date and time with the event's own website, as there are often last minute changes due to weather or logistical problems, just click on the link to the event's website and (in most cases), you want to click on the "events" link or "calendar" link on their website. Or use their site search for "Easter". Do let them know you found them here, so they will update us next year.  Since many egg hunts do not publish the current year's dates until the very last minute, we may not get their current information, which is why we have links to their websites, facebook pages and calendars. Right after the egg hunt, there will be the Great Bunny Run, where children will have the chance to "catch" one of our official "Running Bunnies" and get a prize.     Saturday, Based on last year's date, it SHOULD be held on Saturday, April 15, 2017 (but be sure to check on their website or call them first as we haven't yet received an update from them) 10am-1pm Hunts for 3 years and under begins at 11am, ages 4-7 begins at 11:45am and ages 8-10 begins at 12:30pm.     Morehead Recreation Center Easter Egg Scavenger Hunt - ages 4-8
    Saturday, April 8? (CALL!) from 12-3pm Fee:$5 per person. If you are in search of something "eggstravagana" to do, join us for an egg hunt, arts and crafts, and refreshments. You could be the one to find the golden egg!
    High Point Athletic Complex Glow Easter Egg Event - ages 11-13
    Based on last year's date, it SHOULD be held on Friday, April 7, 2017 (but be sure to check on their website or call them first as we haven't yet received an update from them) from 7-9pm Tweens, join us at the High Point Athletic Complex, 2920 School Park Road, for some after-dark, egg-collection fun! Our egg hunts are divided into zones based on age. At registration, your child will get a colored wristband that coordinates with the colored zone that your child should enter. The pink zone is for ages 0-3, the orange zone is for ages 4-6, the green zone is for ages 7-9, and the blue zone is for ages 10-12. We do egg hunts for all zones at the same time, taking place every half hour between 10a-1p. Feel free to come for whichever egg hunt fits your schedule best since all age groups go at the same time!We recommend bringing sunscreen and a basket or bag to place eggs in. Water will be available for free. We have a egg hunt zone specifically for kids with special needs and the egg hunts will happen along with the other age group divided zones, so every half hour.
